MyToons.com Delivers Animation To Viewers Via Adobe
MyToons.com will mark its first anniversary by collaborating with Adobe to deliver content to Adobe Media Player. High-quality, member-created animation from MyToons.com, along with video from television broadcasters and leading content publishers, will now be available on Adobe Media Player.
Adobe Media Player is a lightweight, revolutionary desktop application that allows viewers to watch content online or download and view their favorite videos and shows offline, all with full-screen playback. Viewers can subscribe to their favorite shows or podcasts and automatically receive new episodes as they become available.
Accelerating the fusion of television and the Internet, Adobe Media Player allows viewers to watch, manage, and discover their favorite shows in high-quality video, whenever and wherever they want.
"At MyToons, we are always looking for new ways to connect animators with animation fans from across the globe," said Paul Ford, co-founder and president of MyToons.com. "Adobe Media Player allows people the freedom to watch their favorite animations and entertainment videos at their convenience, in a super-high quality desktop environment. It's a great opportunity for MyToons' community members to have their artwork and animations showcased for millions and millions of Adobe Media Player users."
MyToons is the home of "Everything Animated". Launched in spring of 2007, MyToons.com provides global content creators with a free platform to share their original animations, artwork, and games with animators, enthusiasts and fans worldwide.
Combining high-quality video file streaming with best-in-class social networking for animators, MyToons.com showcases the greatest variety of independent and studio animation anywhere. MyToons.com allows artists to share their techniques, discuss their thoughts and ideas, and explore their commonalities in a robust visual environment.
Adobe Media Player is cross-platform and based on open standards -- including RSS and SMIL. The player allows viewers the ability to play video compatible with the ubiquitous Adobe Flash Player runtime, outside of their browser.
