!mpossible Pictures has promoted editor James Frazier to director of operations and welcomes a new addition, designer/editor Heather Arment, to the team.
James has been an integral part of the company and our clients have expressed enthusiasm seeing him move to the next level in handling day-to-day operations, said Steve Urbano, !mpossible Pictures vp/director. Heather makes a terrific addition to our team with her great energy and originality. Shes one-of-a-kind and brings unique experiences in design, filmmaking, and editing.
Heather and James, in these roles, are logical steps towards our becoming the leading creative digital studio in this region, adds Joel Pilger, !mpossible Pictures president/senior discreet artist. Whereas great design is the hallmark of a creative/production hybrid firm like !mpossible, equally important is the effective managing of the client experience a smooth process that produces great results.
With 20+ years in the post-production industry, James Frazier brings extensive experience to the management team of !mpossible Pictures. In his new role, Frazier will be responsible for scheduling and coordinating the facility and overseeing client relations and projects.
Beginning as an assistant editor and moving up through the positions of editor, designer, compositor and smoke artist, Fraziers credits include work for Starz Encore, MADtv, ABC Family, BET, Paisley Park, NBA, Pepsi and many others. As a designer, Frazier is the recipient of a ProMax Gold Award for Feature Promotion for THE MUSIC MEN and several Telly Awards.
While being in the editors chair has been a great ride, I know whats right for me, remarks Frazier. This represents a nice progression in what has been, by any measure, an extremely exciting and rewarding career. Im really excited by the opportunity and were already seeing benefits from having a post-production veteran on the management side. As director of operations, I am able to integrate my experience and our excellent account services into one position. So far our clients love it, and these guys are a blast to work for!
Arment joins !mpossible Pictures as designer/editor. She most recently enjoyed a five-year tenure at The Alliance in Colorado Springs, Colorado where she edited and designed documentaries, trailers and dramatic spots. In 2003, she was promoted to exec producer over the video department, overseeing the creative direction on various projects. That same year, her short film, ARE WE ALONE? was accepted and nominated at the Damah Film Festival in Seattle, Washington.
From 1998-2000, Arment helped to establish Historytellers, a non-profit media company on the East Coast. She was responsible for developing, shooting and editing interviews, teasers and supplemental media for live events.
Im really excited to be part of !mpossible Pictures, concludes Arment. I feel this place will allow me to utilize my full potential as an artist. I look forward to working with the team here. They have such great chemistry.
