With THE THING remake hitting theaters on Oct. 14, it seems a little late to be getting a co-financing partner, but that's what Universal has done. Variety reports that Morgan Creek Prods. will pony up some funds for the horror redux and help Universal with the international release. No details on the markets were announced. Universal releases Morgan Creek's productions in the U.S.
