Assorted Nuts Animation Studios’ animated character Dwayne “The Goob” Gunderson has signed a record deal with EMI. The agreement includes music, associated digital content and products as well merchandising.
Published in May of 2008, The Goob quickly became a mobile phone hit in Europe with over 5 million content downloads within the first year. The success led to The Goob being picked up by Strike.TV where it was launched in the August of 2009. In his videos, The Goob played a lot of music, a talent that is now being taken to the next level.
The first single is scheduled to be released in early 2010.

Dwayne ‘theGoob’ Gunderson is the world’s first animated blogger. His video-blog, “shot” with his mobile phone’s camera, chronicles his journey from rural Alabama to the big lights of Tinseltown, all in pursuit of his dream of silver screen fame. Launched in 2008, the project was distributed to mobile phones by Sony Ericsson in Europe and has to date had over five million content downloads.
