MIP-TV News: Flanders Images Broadens Flemish Presence at MIP-TV
Flanders Images' presence at MIP-TV is in an effort to broaden the reach of productions from Flanders and Brussels, Belgium. Animation presented at this year's conference will be coming from such companies as Big Bad Wolf Productions and Be-FILMS.
Big Bad Wolf Prods. will be bringing a new 3D animated pre-school series titled HOPLA. The dialogue-free series has 104x5 episodes available. The program follows Hopla the rabbit and his friends Lola the kitten, Oki the piglet and Nina the little bear as they encounter daily grown-up matters in the context of their little world. In addition, Big Bad Wolf will be showcasing its new puppet series (39x15) THE BIG WOLF SHOW.
Be-FILMS will bring its pilot for LITTLE DRAGON. The 2D animated series will be based on Lieven Baeten's best-selling children's books, which have sold more than 900,000 copies in Europe. Geared for kids 4-7, Be-FILMS will offer 26x6 episodes of the series.

A division of the Flemish Audiovisual Fund (VAF), Flanders Images mission is to promote Flemish audiovisual products abroad. It also organizes and/or participates in film events abroad that are aimed at supporting Flemish audiovisual production. It also supports the promotion of Flemish film releases in key territories. At home, it tries to assist or help producers with the international marketing of their products.
