Mindavenue Launches Axelpublisher For 3ds Max
Interactive media developer MindAvenue has launched AXELpublisher for 3ds max, enabling 3ds max professionals to publish interactive 3D content to the Web easily. This is the first in a series of publishing tools MindAvenue is developing for high-end 3D software programs. With AXELpublisher, 3ds max users can generate both QuickTime and AXEL streams and instantly publish to the Web in a scripting-free environment. In addition, current users of AXELedge, MindAvenue's award-winning authoring tool, can now import 3ds max content directly into the software. Features of AXELpublisher include the ability to easily produce interactive scenes incorporating zoom, orbit and pan; controlled streaming options for geometry and textures; and the ability to add descriptive text overlaid on the content. "AXELpublisher is an ideal solution for 3ds max users looking to bring their 3D projects to the Web," stated Benoit Cloutier, chief technology officer at MindAvenue. "Giving artists the flexibility to repurpose their content, AXELpublisher provides an exceptional channel for delivering 3D content to the Web easily, in a cost efficient and productive manner. MindAvenue will also bundle AXELpublisher with AXELedge 2, the company's latest version of its authoring software which will be available in December 2002. AXELpublisher for 3ds max is available for an introductory price of US$69, with no additional hosting or publishing fees, and is available for download at www.mindavenue.com.
