Mike Young Productions In New Partnership
Mike and Liz Young of Mike Young Productions (MYP) and Bill Schultz, former nine-year veteran executive vice president of Film Roman, have formalized their current working relationship by announcing the formation of a new partnership. "Although the name on the door says Mike Young Productions at the moment, the studio has for the past four years been the mind-meld of three experienced producers -- all of whom are passionate about the business and the art of animated programming," said Mike Young. "So look for a new company name over the entrance in the very near future." The three partners are currently at work on five new projects. In production are HE-MAN: MASTERS OF THE UNIVERSE to air in fall 2002 on Cartoon Network and THE CURLY TALES OF PIGGLEY WINKS, a co-production with PBS WLIW and Entara Limited. In pre-production are the CG-animated preschool series DIVE OLLY DIVE!, the 2D series DUMPED, a co-production with Telegael in Ireland and PEER COUNSELING, a 2D comedy pilot created by Kelly Ward, Cliff MacGillivray and David Feiss for MTV, described as "THE BREAKFAST CLUB meets CLUELESS." MYP is presenting all of the shows (except HE-MAN) at MIP-TV along with PET ALIEN and BUTT-UGLY MARTIANS. PEER COUNSELING will be presented under the title TEEN COUNSELORS.
