Michelle Guy joins Fox Kids U.K. as press and pr manager, replacing Anna Sargent who left the company in June 2003. Guy is responsible for generating press coverage for Fox Kids channel, online, interactive and consumer products activities in the U.K. and for promoting the Fox Kids brand to U.K. audiences.
She joins Fox Kids from Eurosport, the pan-European sports channel, where she was pr manager. She joined Eurosport in 2000 as a press officer as was promoted to pr manager, to promote both the pan-European channel and British Eurosport to consumer and trade media. Prior to this, Guy was an account exec for the pr and marketing agency Holmes & Marchant Counsel (1999-2000), where her main accounts included the Heinz Ketchup Cup, and the re-launch of Heinz Salad Cream.
Guy reports to Allan Stenhouse, marketing director, Fox Kids U.K. who said, We are delighted to have someone of Michelles caliber and experience to help steer Fox Kids U.K.s press and publicity operations and we welcome her to the team.
Guys announcement follows closely on the heels of Jenny Burbages appointment as Fox Kids Europes new head of press and public relations.
