The charm and multi-generational appeal of Charlie Chaplin continues to resonate with broadcasters and their viewers the world over as PGS Entertainment chalks up more licensing deals for the animated series Chaplin & Co. Produced by Method Animation, and commissioned by France Televisions and Rai Fiction, the series is now airing in 100+ territories.

“It’s remarkable how the image and personality of the character created by Charlie Chaplin, -- his unmistakeable walk, toothbrush mustache and silly, childlike antics - are so identifiable around the world. That built-in recognizability has been the key to Chaplin & Co’s global success,” said Philippe Soutter, president of PGS Entertainment. “Method has done such wonderful job of capturing that irresistible charm that once broadcasters see the animated character, they’re hooked. We’re thrilled that this series continues to be so well-received in so many diverse territories.”
Chaplin & Co is based on the antics of the silent-film-era star Charlie Chaplin, a dreamer and kid trapped in an adult body. Multi-award-winning producer Method Animation updates Chaplin’s slapstick humor for today’s kids through masterful use of CGI that is inspired by classic cartoons, such as Mister Magoo and Tom & Jerry.
