Strawberry Shortcake Seaberry Beach National Promotion Kicks Off

files/pictures/picture-35.jpgAmerican Greetings Corp. and DIC Ent. (DIC) kick off the spring season with a STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE Seaberry Beach national promotion. Developed by DIC, on behalf of American Greetings, the promotion features a sweepstakes with tropical prizes.
The sweepstakes is themed after the recent home video release, STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE SEABERRY BEACH PARTY, which streeted on Feb. 15, 2005. One grand-prize winner will receive a vacation for a family of four to an all-inclusive Beaches Resort in Jamaica. 10 first-prize winners will receive Seaberry Beach gift packs, including STRAWBERRY SHORTCAKE sunglasses, beach towel and a Seaberry Beach Party music CD. Additionally, 50 second-place winners will receive the Seaberry Beach Party DVD from Fox Home Ent. The prize drawing will take place in June.

The sweepstakes will be the highlight of a national 10-market Seaberry Beach Meet & Greet tour at malls across the U.S. and will feature photo opportunities with Strawberry Shortcake (kids bring their own cameras), Seaberry Beach signage and a point of entry for the sweepstakes. The meet and greet tour will be supported with in mall advertising and regional radio spots featured on Radio Disney.
The promotion will also be supported with a print ad in the April issue of NICK JR. FAMILY MAGAZINE, online ads on Nickjr.com and newsletters to the Strawberry Shortcake Friendship Club which has a membership of more than 270,000 fans. A dedicated Seaberry Beach promotional page will also be featured on strawberryshortcake.com including prize details, a downloadable entry form and official sweepstakes rules.
