Walt Disney Records' DISNEY SWINGING CHRISTMAS is a collection of
holiday favorites performed by the Glenn Miller Orchestra. It includes "The
Twelve Days of Christmas," "Jingle Bells," "Nutcracker Medley" and "The
Christmas Song," among others. The compact disc is available now exclusively at The Disney Store and Disney Theme Parks for US$8.99. . . The TOY STORY 2
soundtrack features songs and score by Randy Newman (TOY STORY, A BUG'S
LIFE), and performances by Grammy Award-winning Sarah McLachlan,
legendary cowboy songsters Riders in the Sky ("Woody's Roundup"), irresistible troubadour Robert Goulet (in a big band version of "You've Got A Friend In Me" -- as the character "Wheezy") and renowned jazz saxophonist Tom Scott. The TOY STORY 2 READ-ALONG features favorite character voices from the film, including Tom Hanks (Woody) and Tim Allen (Buzz Lightyear) -- as well as TOY STORY 2's new characters Joan Cusack (Jessie), Kelsey Grammer
(the Prospector) and Wayne Knight (Big Al) among others -- who once again
bring these beloved characters from the movie to life. The TOY STORY 2
SING-ALONG includes eight toy-themed tunes inspired by the film's characters, including the classic "You've Got a Friend in Me." (Suggested retail prices are: $10.98 for the soundtrack cassette, $6.98 for the READ-ALONG, and $10.98 for the SING-ALONG. CD prices vary. . . Now, five decades after its origin as the Walt Disney Music Company, and the soundtrack recording for the original FANTASIA, Walt Disney Records unveils the new soundtrack recording of FANTASIA/2000 featuring music by Beethoven, Stravinsky, Shostakovich, and others. There will also be a Collector's Edition of the FANTASIA/2000 soundtrack which will be a specially packaged, numbered, limited-edition version available exclusively at The Disney Store and Disney Theme Parks beginning November 9, 1999, before the standard
album's wide release on November 30. Both versions will be available only on CD. The FANTASIA/2000 COLLECTOR'S EDITION retails for $16.99; standard
version prices will vary.
