Creata Ltd, organisers of the Licensing New Europe Show & Conference, has announced that representatives of Disney Consumer Products (DCP) will be attending this year’s event.
The show, which once again will be held in Zagreb, Croatia, helps to promote the role of licensing in the New Europe region, an area comprising 35 countries and with more than 400 million inhabitants across Central, Eastern and South-eastern Europe, Russia and CIS. Last year’s hugely successful event attracted more than 350 participants who took the opportunity to share their experience and knowledge with licensing industry professionals and specialists from New Europe. The show’s importance is reflected by the fact that it is the only licensing event in the region that has official LIMA representatives in attendance.
A special section of the show will be dedicated to Disney, where DCP (Central-South European office) executives will be leading workshop sessions entitled ‘Basics of licensing’ and ‘How to license’, with specific examples and education about the processes involved. There will also be presentations and screenings of Disney brands, which are being specifically prepared for LNE 2011.
This year's programme will also include many other company and property presentations, screenings, panel discussions, workshops and educational sessions. There will also be a special focus on Russia and CIS with a number of representatives from these territories having confirmed their attendance. In total, delegates from twenty-six countries have signed up for the show, with numbers already up on last year. Confirmed participants include international and regional retailers, producers and manufacturers, distributors, licensors, licensees, marketing agencies, consultancies, lawyers and licensing agents.
