Barcelona, 10 May 2011: Imira Entertainment, Spain’s leading production and distribution company specialising in youth programming, has signed a number of deals across its portfolio in Latin America, with sales to Brazil, Argentina and Ecuador.
In Brazil, Imira-produced animated preschool duo Vitaminix (104X2´) and Saari (39X3´) have sold to free TV channel Canal Futura, with another free TV channel, TV Cultura, picking up the first season of live action show Wicked Science (26x26’) produced by Jonathan M. Shiff Productions, FFC, Film Victoria, Network Ten and ZDF Enterprises. Wicked Science has also sold to Canal 7 in Argentina which acquired all 52x26’ episodes of the series alongside Corneil & Bernie (52X13´) from Millimages.
In further deals, Imira has scored sales in Ecuador with free TV broadcaster RTV picking up the Millimages series Bugged (52X7´) and Breakthrough Entertainment’s Dino Dan (52X11´+ 1X22).
