Imaginary Forces Director Of Experience Design At fmx/08
On Thursday, May 8, Imaginary Forces Director of Experience Design Tali Krakowsky will be presenting at the 13th International Conference on Animation, Effects, Games and Digital Media in Haus der Wirtschaft, Stuttgart, Germany. This session is part of the flashconference forum of the event.
Titled "Designing Fiction," Krakowsky's presentation will provide an introduction to Experience Design, and how it impacts design thinking and branding. Fiction meets science when emerging media, interactive content, cinematic storytelling and architecture come together to create Experience Design. Re-imagining both media content and screens, Experience Design challenges traditional forms of content creation and expands the art of the digital into the realm of the physical. In her session, Krakowsky will make these seemingly abstract ideas very real and demonstrate that much of the present and future of design and architecture resides in this new discipline. Krakowsky's visual essay on Experience Design can be viewed here: www.flashconference.de/speakers/experience_design_e01.html.
Recently, Krakowsky has also presented at numerous conferences and events including AIGA/Los Angeles' "Pro Sessions: Design Remixed," and FITC Toronto, Hollywood, and Amsterdam. She will next participate in the Singularity Conference, the first online digital conference, and the Flashbelt Conference in June. The flashconference is the first international European conference for the well-known flash format. This year the conference is taking place for the tenth time and concentrates on two main focuses: news about flash, releases and innovations, as well as glimpses into sectors which are of particular interest for video, music videos, in depth programming, art and experience design.
Krakowsky, Director of Experience Design at Imaginary Forces, has been extensively involved for over five years in concept development and management of the division and its projects in both the New York and Los Angeles offices. She has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Design and a Master of Arts from UCLA's School of Architecture, with a thesis on interactive architecture.
Krakowsky has had a leading role in a range of projects for Imaginary Forces, including immersive environments for Airbus, BMW, IBM, MoMA and the Grimaldi Forum in Monaco. Additionally, she has worked on the World Trade Center redesign competition, an installation for the Netherlands Architecture Institute and MoMA's Tall Buildings exhibition as part of the design consortium United Architects. In addition to her work at IF, Krakowsky has published several articles on design, architecture, and innovation through collaboration, and has been teaching a class on Experience Design at SCI-Arc in Los Angeles.
