ImageMovers & Disney Have a Stoneheart
ImageMovers and Disney are in the process of acquiring the film rights to Charlie Fletcher's YA fantasy series STONEHEART, according to THE HOLLYWOOD REPORTER. ImageMovers' Robert Zemeckis, Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey would produce. The production would be motion capture.
In the books, set in London, a 12-year-old boy is transported into an alternative reality where statues come to life via the essence of their sculptors. He finds himself in the middle of a battle between good and evil, where must save the day with the help of an orphan girl and the statue of a WWI gunner.
The third book in the STONEHEART trilogy will arrive on shelves in April.
