Houdini, Conan Doyle TV Series in Works
Talk about inspiration just being in the air, a day after it was announced that DreamWorks has acquired a Harry Houdini/ Sir Arthur Conan Doyle script from J. Michael Straczynski, Deadline.com reveals that Syfy is in talks on a Harry Houdini/ Sir Arthur Conan Doyle series. Both projects find real-life friends Houdini and Conan Doyle solving mysteries in 1920s New York.
The series, titled AMONG THE SPIRITS, is based on Steve Valentine and Paul Chart's graphic novel. They will pen the script and produce. Daniel J. Frey is also producing. The project is set up at E1 Entertainment.
In SPIRITS, Houdini and Conan Doyle team with a female cop to find the Earthly origins to seemingly supernatural mysteries.
