HIT Founder Replaces HIT CEO
Just as HIT Ent. announced its plans to launch a 24-hour digital cable television channel for preschool children with Comcast Corp., PBS and Sesame Workshop, Rob Lawes left his job as HIT ceo. Peter Orton, chairman/founder of HIT has taken over as interim chief executive.
Orton said, Our results announced today and the U.S. channel joint venture demonstrate that our business is in good financial shape. As HIT enters this new stage in its development, it requires a chief executive with different skills to manage the growth of the business. I would like to thank Rob Lawes for his contribution over the years and wish him well in the future.
