Sony Pictures has tapped Dave Franco, the younger brother of Oscar nominee James Franco, to play a baddie in 21 JUMP STREET, reports Deadline.com. He will play the big man on campus, who's also a drug dealer. Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum play narcs that go undercover in high schools. Ice Cube is their boss and Rob Riggle will play the top drug dealer. There is also word that Johnny Depp is lining up a cameo in the feature adaptation of the TV series that made him a star.
Phil Lord and Chris Miller (CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS) penned the script and will direct. Neal Moritz is the producer with Tatum and Hill exec producing. The original TV show's creator Stephen J. Cannell will get a posthumous producer credit.
