Fox Makes Pitch to Release MGM Films
20th Century Fox has made its pitch to distribute MGM films, according to The Hollywood Reporter. It joins Paramount and Sony Pictures are potential distribution partners for the revamped MGM.
Fox has been distributing MGM films on DVD and Blu-ray, as well as internationally, for years. But that agreement runs out in September. Gary Barber and Roger Birnbaum, who now run MGM, have had a solid relationship with Paramount through their Spyglass Ent. Sony and MGM partnered on the release of the two most recent James Bond films.
