Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (MASS MoCA) will host a two month
animation festival. These are the scheduled events.
Saturday, July 10, 5 pm. John Canemaker will show and talk about a century
of animation. The event is free.
Saturday, July 10, 8 pm. "The Birth of Walt Disney Pictures' DINOSAUR"
presents a behind the scenes look at the work-in-progress.
Thursday, July 15, 8 pm. "The Making of MONSTERS OF GRACE" with Jeff
Kleiser and Diana Walczak will explore the challenges of their
collaboration with Robert Wilson and Phillip Glass.

Saturday, July 17, 8 pm. MONSTERS OF GRACE, the new digital 3D opera by
Robert Wilson and Philip Glass, with animation by The Kleiser-Walczak
Construction Company, will be shown with the score performed live by the
Philip Glass ensemble.
Saturday, July 31, 5 pm. The Center presents the opportunity to meet the
artists behind GHOSTCATCHING, an art installation in which new
motion-capture technology multiplies the body of dancer Bill T. Jones. This
event is free.
Sunday, August 1, 8:30 pm. The Center will screen THE IRON GIANT prior to
its release.

Saturday, August 7, 8:00 pm. Barry Purves will share his films and stories.

Thursday, August 22, 1:00 pm. William Kentridge and artists from MASS
MoCA's Billboard exhibit will gather for a brunch and discussion of their
inspirations and methods. This event is free with admission to the museum.
