Egmont Gets A Rush Of Sales For Adrenalini Brothers
Egmont Imagination has recently completed a host of new deals for its 2D Flash-animated stunt-action series THE AMAZING ADRENALINI BROTHERS. Both Nickelodeon U.S. and Europe (in a pan-European deal), Cartoon Network Japan, ABC Australia, as well as Astral Quebec in Canada, have all picked up the broadcast rights for the program. A winner of the "Prix Des Internautes" (Peoples Choice) award at the 26th Annecy International Animation Festival, this 10 x 2.5-minute series is aimed at all audiences six years old and up. The series was commissioned by CBBC and is a co-production from creative team The POX and animation company Pesky. Egmont Imagination holds the worldwide distribution rights. Hailing from the mysterious land of Réndøosîa, the three Adrenalini brothers, Xan, Adi and Enk eat, sleep and breathe danger. In each episode, The Amazing Adrenalini Brothers attempt (and fail) a series of absurd stunts, such as the human cannonball, the high tower jump and the bike vault through a burning hoop. Egmont Imagination and the program's producers are now looking to secure funding for a second series of Adrenalini adventures, and hope to expand their adventures into a longer format. "Distributing THE AMAZING ADRENALINI BROTHERS to an international audience has been a real pleasure for the Egmont Imagination team," explained Tatiana Kober, managing director of Egmont Imagination UK. "With their 'made up' Réndøosîan language and the series' comical animation, it has proven to be a real international hit. Regardless of language, territory or culture, the appeal seems universal."
