Easter Egg Escapade To Debut At Hollywood Film Festival
The animated feature THE EASTER EGG ESCAPADE will make its West Coast debut at the 8th Annual Hollywood Film Festival, on Oct. 17 at 5:00 p.m., at the Arclight Cinemas in Hollywood. In attendance will be Sandra Bernhard (TVs ROSEANNE), who voices one of the main characters and will help director John Michael Williams introduce the movie. Guests will be greeted by the films seven-foot mascot, Good Gracious Grasshopper. A 30-minute Q&A with Bernhard and Williams immediately follows the screening.
The film, animated in Eastern Europe, tells the tale of Egg Town, an idyllic village where neighboring chickens and rabbits live together in harmony. However, beyond the borders lurk the mysterious and thieving Take-Its, who constantly conspire to steal anything they can including its optimistic spirit. An unlikely group of Egg Towns residents brave the dangers of the swamp and the evil Take-its in an attempt to retrieve what is theirs.
The voice cast features Bernhard, Brooke Shields, Joe Pantoliano, James Woods, Nancy Kerrigan and Eli Wallach. Williams also enlisted the Grammy award-winning singer Natalie Cole to sing a duet with him for the films love theme, Crazy About You.
After a limited run late this year, the film is set to go into general release in April 2005. For more information, visit www.eastereggescapade.com.
