Doctor Who Scores Record Numbers for BBC America
The DOCTOR WHO series has delivered the biggest numbers in BBC America's history, VARIETY reports.
DOCTOR WHO: THE WATERS OF MARS, the first of three specials to air, brought in 1.1 million viewers (over three airings). It also grabbed 663,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic, another record for the cable network.
The remaining two special from the series -- THE END OF TIME: PART ONE and THE END OF TIME: PART TWO -- will run Dec. 26 and Jan. 2. BBC America already has plans for a new DOCTOR WHO series in 2010.
