Depp-Produced Rex Mundi Conjures Writers
Warner Bros. has found writers for its adaptation of the comic REX MUNDI, reports Heat Vision. Brian Klugman and Lee Sternthal (TRON: LEGACY) will adapt the story, which tells a magical alternative history where the Catholic Church wiped out the Protestant Reformation. Taking place in 1933, a pathologist looks into the strange circumstances of the death of the priest who took him in as a child. The mystery reveals secrets about the Holy Grail.
Johnny Depp will produce via his Infinitum Nihil alongside Nihil's Christi Dembrowski, Alan and Peter Riche, and Dark Horse's Mike Richardson. Arvid Nelson and Eric Johnson created the comic, which was initially adapted into a script by Jim Uhls.
