Sony Finds Writing & Directing Foundation for Asimov Adaptation

files/pictures/picture-35.jpgSony Pictures has tapped Dante Harper (HANSEL & GRETEL: WITCH HUNTERS) to adapt Isaac Asimov's sci-fi trilogy FOUNDATION for director Roland Emmerich, reports Deadline.com [1]. Robert Rodat penned the original draft.

First published in Astounding Magazine in 1942, the story follows a psychic who foresees the imminent downfall of the Galactic Empire and sets out to save human knowledge before it is lost.

Emmerich will also produce with Centropolis partner Michael Wimer.
