Carl2 Heads South To HBO Latin America
CARL2 (CARL SQUARED), Portfolio Ent.'s clone-themed animated comedy series for tweens, will make its Latin American debut on HBO Latin America in October 2007. HBO Latin America acquired the first two seasons of CARL2, totaling 39 half-hour episodes, for broadcast in Spanish and Portuguese.
The sale was brokered by Portfolio Ent.'s Latin American agent, Katherine O'Brien of KO Film Distribution.

CARL2 airs on Teletoon (Canada), Nickelodeon (Germany), Jetix (Netherlands), ABC (Australia), ABC2 (Australia), VRT (Belgium), Canal + Cyfrowy (Poland) and Noga (Israel).
Produced and distributed by Portfolio Ent., CARL2 (65x30) is an animated comedy series about a slacker teen named Carl Crashman, who accidentally generates his own clone after venting about his life in his online journal. Carl soon discovers that the miracle of cloning is only skin-deep as he scrambles to cover up the trail of chaos that his exuberant clone, C2, leaves in his wake.
