Gravity, the recently re-launched and rebranded international creative, content and marketing company formerly known as Rhino, is announcing today the appointment of Win Peniston as Vice President of Digital Strategy and Development, effective immediately. In this newly created role, Peniston will be responsible for bolstering Gravity’s digital growth as well as the strategic depth of its management team. He will oversee the pairing of creativity with technological innovation to help achieve engaging experiences for brands. Gravity’s digital capabilities include high-end digital video content, websites, virtual worlds, social media programming, mobile applications, online marketing and a host of other interactive platforms
Peniston is part of a new executive management team at Gravity that also includes Bob Samuel, Chief Marketing Officer & Executive Producer, Commercials Group, and Shemi Levi, EVP, Chief Digital Officer.
Peniston, who previously served as Senior Vice President, Strategy & Development at Posner Advertising, where he led the brand planning, digital marketing and new business development teams, will work closely with Shemi Levi, EVP and Chief Digital Officer at Gravity. While at Posner, Peniston was responsible for attracting as well as managing integrated and digital marketing strategies for clients such as LG Electronics, Toll Brothers and Prudential Douglas Elliman.
Peniston has over 18 years of brand marketing and digital media experience with top agencies including Omnicom’s BBDO, DDB, Interpublic’s The Sloan Group and Beacon Branding, which he co-founded. He has provided long-lasting strategic solutions to a client list that includes Gillette, Delta Air Lines, McDonald's, Cablevision, Maxfli, HBO, Anheuser-Busch, Wachovia, LG and Prudential Douglas Elliman.
Peniston is an expert in interactive branding, online marketing, and social media programming for consumer marketers. Throughout his career, he has won numerous advertising industry distinctions, including Cannes Lions, British Design & Art Directors, Clios, ADDYs, and One Show and BBDO Star awards. He is a frequent guest lecturer on branding and digital marketing at Fordham University’s Graduate School of Business, Baruch College, as well as a speaker at various national and international trade/industry conferences.
