Tintin Marks Biggest Animation Opening in India

files/pictures/picture-35.jpgAfter opening over the weekend in India, THE ADVENTURES OF TINTIN: THE SECRET OF THE UNICORN had the largest opening weekend for an animated feature in the country's history, reports The Hollywood Reporter [1]. Steven Spielberg's performance capture adventure earned 73.5 million rupees ($1.46 million), which knocked off DreamWorks' KUNG FU PANDA 2, which made 55 million rupees ($1 million) in its opening weekend in May. The release also set records for Spielberg in India and the number of screens at 350.
