MTV Networks Latin America Opens New Office In Argentina
Created 03/18/2009 - 23:00
MTV Networks Latin America has opened its new office in Buenos Aires, Argentina, which will serve as the company's headquarters in region as well as a creative center for both Latin America and MTV Networks International (MTVNI).
This opening completes MTVNLA's successful regionalization process designed to enhance its local and pan-regional operations in Latin America. President of Argentina, Cristina Fernandez de Kirchner and MTV Networks executives; Bob Bakish, President of MTV Networks International (MTVNI); Pierluigi Gazzolo, COO of MTVNI and President of MTV Networks Latin America; and Paula Guerra, Senior Vice President and General Manager of MTV Networks Argentina were present at the inauguration.
As part of MTVNLA's expansion in the region, the company created the Buenos Aires Design Studio (BADS) which will work closely with Mexico City, Miami, Bogota and Sao Paulo (Vh1 only) to service all of Latin America with on-air creative. The creation of BADS subsequently led to the selection of Buenos Aires to serve as one of MTVNI's creative design hubs to support the international operation with on-air creative such as the promotional campaign for the recently launched MTV WORLD STAGE series that airs across MTV's international networks every Friday night.
In addition, Buenos Aires will also serve as of one of the designated production centers for MTVNI's pan-territorial HD service, MTVNHD, whereby the MTVN Latin America team will be responsible for producing the network's MTV TOP 20, the concert series MTV LIVE as well as other content.
MTV Networks Latin America's new space in Buenos Aires reflects the growth of the company's Argentine operations with two state-of-the-art production studios for the networks' programming and production teams. The 3,100 square meter building located on Godoy Cruz Street, in the heart of the bohemian neighborhood Palermo Soho, features open spaces with natural light, informal meeting rooms, a ramp joining different floors and areas, as well as a brightly colored hand painted mural. The building's industrial look and exposed infrastructure gives the space a modern edgy feel that reinforces the creative spirit of the company.
