Vincennes, France – Alphanim  announced that they have sold three of its highly acclaimed animated series to the premium subscription channel Starz in the US. The company has also inked other key deals around the world including sales to Australia, South Korea, Eastern Europe and Finland. The announcement was made by Pierre Belaïsch, Managing Director of Alphanim.
“With these new sales, we are delighted to be continuing our relationship with the outstanding team at Starz,” commented Belaïsch. “We are confident that Starz will have tremendous success with all of these titles, specifically The Green Squad, our eco-travel show for kids which continues to sell remarkably well around the world.”
Starz acquired Alphanim’s animated adventure show The Green Squad (52x13’), the second season of the animated adventure-comedy Gawayn (52x13’), as well as comic book-based comedy Toto Trouble (52x13’). The network already airs several Alphanim series such as Santa’s Apprentice (52x13’) Hairy Scary (52x13’), Zombie Hotel (26x26’), Matt’s Monsters (52x13’) and the first season of Gawayn.
Alphanim concluded several other new sales around the globe. ABC Australia acquired Gawayn II (52x13’), whilst in South Korea, Disney Channel bought Mouss & Boubidi (52x1’). In Eastern Europe, Megamax acquired all three seasons of Alphanim’s flagship series Galactik Football (78x26’) for Czech Republic and Slovakia. Finally in Finland, MTV3 renewed its rights for Christmas series Santa’s Apprentice (52x13’).
