files/pictures/picture-35.jpgOn April 26, 2006, ZOOM SUIT #1 hits comic shops featuring an overt cover contest and a gaggle of covert Easter Eggs revealing phone numbers and websites that take readers out of the comic and into the middle of an Internet conspiracy. The comic is based on short film that has appeared in more than 60 film festivals since the world premiere at the Palm Beach International Film Festival on April 18, 2005 where it won Best Animation.
We hid a few Easter Eggs on our website as well as on our DVDs, so placing them in ZOOM SUIT #1 was a logical evolution, explained ZOOM SUIT creator John Taddeo. However, we took it pretty far. There are at least three Flash films to find and a hidden phone number as well.
The quest in ZOOM SUIT begins with an alien Zeta Reticulan phone number and ends with prizes such as a limited edition ZOOM SUIT DVD signed by the creative team. In addition, many other surprises are peppered throughout the entire four issue limited series.
The comic industry has been doing some phenomenal things in storytelling and art for the past several years, said Phil Boyle, owner of comic book chain Coliseum of Comics. Im very excited about ZOOM SUIT appealing to a much wider audience than some of the traditional comics, thereby bringing in a new generation of comic readers. There are a lot of great things happening in comics and ZOOM SUIT is one of them.
ZOOM SUIT the comic was written by John Taddeo with art by Billy Dallas Patton and featuring covers by Gene Colan, Jim Starlin, Bob Layton and Bart Sears. For more information, visit www.superverse.com
