files/pictures/picture-35.jpgA talented and eclectic group of presenters are scheduled to share the stage with host Tom Kenny at the 33rd Annual Annie Awards on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2006, at the Alex Theatre in Glendale, California (216 N. Brand Blvd.).
Animations biggest night will feature a whos-whos of performing and filmmaking prowess such as William Shatner (OVER THE HEDGE), Jason Alexander (SEINFELD), Craig T. Nelson (THE INCREDIBLES), the multi-talented Brad Bird (THE INCREDIBLES), Nick Park (WALLACE & GROMIT: THE CURSE OF THE WERE-RABBIT), Seth MacFarlane (THE FAMILY GUY) and Lee Unkrich (TOY STORY II). Additional presenters to be announced and lineup is subject to change.
Tom Kenny returns to host the ceremony bringing his signature comedic edge and mastery of impersonation. The 33rd Annual Annie Awards gets underway with a black-tie pre-reception and red carpet arrivals starting at 3:00 pm; awards ceremony at 5:00 pm and a post event celebration immediately following at Milanos Cucina Italiana (525 N. Brand Blvd.).
The Annie Awards recognize the years finest animation across film, television, short subjects and gaming in 22 categories covering overall excellence as well as individual achievement in areas ranging from production design, character animation, and effects animation to storyboarding, writing, directing, music and voice acting. Entries submitted for Annie consideration must be from productions that originally aired, were exhibited in an animation festival, or were commercially released in the United States between Jan. 1, 2005 and Dec. 31, 2005.
