Warner Bros. has frontrunners for the leads in the modern King Arthur tale ARTHUR & LANCELOT, reports Heat Vision. Kit Harington (TV's GAME OF THRONES) and Joel Kinnaman (TV's THE KILLING) have emerged to the top of the pack. Other who tested for the top two roles include Sam Claflin (PIRATES OF THE CARIBBEAN: ON STRANGER TIDES), Dominic Cooper (THE DEVIL'S DOUBLE), Hans Matheson (SHERLOCK HOLMES), Jim Sturgess (ONE DAY), Benjamin Walker (ABRAHAM LINCOLN: VAMPIRE HUNTER) and Liam Hemsworth (THOR).
David Dobkin (WEDDING CRASHERS) will direct the $90 million modern take on the legend. He will also produce alongside Lionel Wigram. Jeff Kleeman is exec producing.
Warner Bros. plans to release the film on March 15, 2013.
