Antoine Fuqua to Storm Las Vegas
Summit Ent. has tapped Antoine Fuqua (TRAINING DAY) to helm its adaptation of John Huddy's true-life book STORMING LAS VEGAS: HOW A CUBAN-BORN, SOVIET-TRAINED COMMANDO TOOK DOWN THE STRIP TO THE TUNE OF FIVE WORLD CLASS HOTELS, THREE ARMORED CARS, AND MILLIONS OF DOLLARS, reports Deadline.com. Lorenzo di Bonaventura will produce.
The story tells the tale of Jose Vigoa, a Soviet-trained Cuban-born commando, who laid siege on Las Vegas in the 1990s right when the city was trying to clean up its Sin City image. A 23-year police veteran was tasked with taking down Vigoa and his gang without letting any of it hit the newspapers.
