Amberwood Books Benjamin Bear in France, Brazil, Norway
Amberwood Prods. announced that France Vision Services has licensed additional episodes of THE SECRET WORLD OF BENJAMIN BEAR to be broadcast on flights carried by Air France.
Jonathan Wiseman, vp, sales & acquisitions at Amberwood, said, "BENJAMIN BEAR continues to perform well in French-speaking territories and we are delighted by France Vision's continued support of the series."
THE SECRET WORLD OF BENJAMIN BEAR was commissioned by Canada's Family Channel. To date, the series (39x30, 78x11) has been licensed in more than 80 territories worldwide.
Earlier in the month, Amberwood licensed the series to Brazil's Mundial Filmes for DVD. This deal also included the rights to HOZE HOUNDZ and ZEROMAN.
Wiseman commented, "This is an extremely meaningful deal for Amberwood because it will allow several of our titles to be introduced to Brazilian audiences. We are delighted to be working with Mundial Filmes."
HOZE HOUNDZ (78x30, 156x11) was commissioned by Canada's Family Channel. ZEROMAN, commissioned by Canada's TELETOON, is comprised of 13 half-hours.
These deals follow on the heels of Amberwood licensing all 39 episodes of BENJAMIN BEAR to Norwegian Broadcaster TV2.
Wiseman commented, "TV2 is a great home for the series and we are delighted to be partnering with them in order to bring BENJAMIN BEAR to Norwegian viewers."
Beathe A. Daae, head of children's programs at TV2 Norway, added, "We are very proud to have BENJAMIN BEAR among all our other quality series at TV2 Norway. BENJAMIN BEAR is a high quality series with strong characters and good stories, and will be a perfect addition in our TV2 Junior block."
