Affiliate Animator News: Stephen X. Arthur And Linda Kudzmas
Stephen Arthur's experimental animated short, "Transfigured," has been selected to tour in the travelling exhibition Kinetica-3. Kinetica is a festival of abstract film and video that travels to art museums and cinematheques around the U.S. and the world. Its past incarnation, Kinetica-2, was a centennial tribute to famed animator Oskar Fischinger. "Transfigured" was produced in Vancouver, B.C., by the National Film Board of Canada. The 35mm film animates a seamless interactive flow of abstract, surrealist paintings by the late Jack Shadbolt. For venues and dates of Kinetica-3 see www.iotacenter.org. . . Linda Kudzmas' independent animated short, "Five Little Monkeys," has been accepted at the Kidseye International Children's Film Festival, an event celebrating young video makers by showcasing their projects.
