The sci-fi film, which carries a $30 million budget, the general limit for a domestic project, will have commercials running on all five networks, beginning on Jan. 1.
The blitz will also carry into national newspapers and 30-second trailers in theaters. The live-action project, which is being directed by Takashi Yamazaki and starring Takuya Kimura, is slated to hit theaters in December 2010.
