Kip King, one of the original Groundling comedians, died of a long illness on July 15th, reports VARIETY [1]. He was 72 years old.
In the animation world, he is best known for voicing Tailor Smurf on THE SMURFS. His other cartoon credits include SCOOBY-DOO AND SCRAPPY DOO, THE BISKITTS, TOM & JERRY KIDS SHOW and I YABBA-DABBA DO!
He was born Jerome Kattan in Chicago. Illinois.
He is survived by his comedian son Chris Kattan.
