Based on the children's book of the same name by William Steig, this 3D animation flick tells the tale of Shrek (voiced by Mike Myers), a cynical, no-nonsense ogre, who can't quite handle having his swamp overrun by annoyingly-sweet fairy tale creatures.
Note: Originally bowing during May 2001, a large screen format version of SHREK, with possible new footage and alternate ending, is tentatively scheduled to come to IMAX theaters during Summer 2002.
