TV Series (episodes 1-5), Director: Yoshitaka Fujimoto, Distributor: FUNimation
Okay, so everyone is rather familiar with the all-girl fighting genre that ices the anime cake. Ikki Tousen immediately jumps into my mind. Master of The Martial Hearts not only clings to this generic guilty pleasure, but sadly hangs on by just a tiny thread. And there are many little threads hanging from torn skirts and blouses in this fetishistic anime!
Yup, once again we have Skinemax anime style. Aya may be a heroic girl out to protect the downtrodden. But this series is purely about the boobs and butts that are slowly revealed as our girls go at it blow by blow. Everyone loves a striptease, right? From episodes one through four, the plot is driven by Aya’s desire to find the missing girl she originally saved, the incident that sucked her into this underground world. But we learn more about the feminine curves and what color underwear these girls are wearing than anything else.
But wait! An attempt at seriousness is made. After all, this anime can’t just be about flashing silicon-enhanced breasts. In episode five, as Aya enters the final phase of the tournament, an elaborate mythology about the Martial Hearts and its players is revealed. So, this isn’t just about T & A and an innocent girl fighting for the greater good? Now, I could start summarizing the evil plots, machinations, and ancient history that have brought all these girls together. But it’s a poor attempt at a deus ex machina.
Simply put, if you’re ready for a fetishistic and voyeuristic good time, then grab a copy of Master of The Martial Heats. It’s like a great beer commercial for cable TV. Nothing but hot babes bouncing around with each other.
