Evan started his career in the game industry as a Quality Assurance tester at Turbine Inc, working on Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar. From there, he went on to become Turbine’s Marketing Coordinator and worked on their suite of games that include Dungeons and Dragons Online and Asheron’s Call.
Evan left Turbine and joined the team at Blue Fang Games as a Senior Quality Assurance tester and began working on Zoo Tycoon 2: Extinct Animals as well as their new project that would later become World of Zoo.
After deciding school was where he wanted to be he left Blue Fang and set out to complete what he had started years earlier. While Evan was finishing his degree in Game Design he worked as a Graphic Artist Technician at Gatehouse Media for a traditional print media outlet, The Herald News.
With degree in hand and school behind him, Evan re-entered the Game Industry as a Gameplay Analyst at Hasbro Inc. He worked on multi-platform games for several of the company’s brands including Nerf, Clue, Yahtzee, Pictureka, Risk, and more.
With the economy crashing around him and his contract at Hasbro coming to a close Evan was lucky enough to be recruited by Varolii Corporation. He remains at the Bedford, MA based company to this day.
Evan also has the pleasure to say he has been a Conference Associate at the Game Developer conference for three years, and has written articles for press outlets such as VFXworld and MMORPG.com.
As hobbies, he also enjoys creating game modifications, 3d modeling, and texturing. Evan also can’t seem to whet his fantasy novel appetite, and is in the process of reading every fantasy novel known to man as well as dabbling in writing his own.
