The Annecy International Animation Festival just concluded its 51st edition this evening, June 11, 2011. Patrick Jean’s PIXELS Took home the Annecy Cristal as the top short film, while THE RABBI'S CAT, by Joann Sfar and Antoine Delesvaux, took the top prize for feature film.

CG Looney Tunes With Mel Blanc Coming To Theaters

“Thufferin thuccotash!” Sylvester the Cat, Tweety Bird, Daffy Duck, Elmer Fudd, Wile E. Coyote and the Road Runner will all return to theaters in three original Looney Tunes 3D theatrical cartoon shorts produced by Warner Bros. Animation and directed by Matthew O’Callaghan (Coyote Falls).

Ernest and Celestine Lines Up Voice Cast

Les Armateurs and StudioCanal have lined up the voice cast for their feature ERNEST AND CELESTINE, reports Variety. Lambert Wilson (THE MATRIX RELOADED) will lend his voice to Ernest, a bear who wants to be an artist. He strikes up a friendship with the energetic old mouse Celestine, who will be voiced by Belgian stage actress Anne-Marie Loop. Additionally, Dominique Collignon (A CHRISTMAS CAROL) will play a dentist.
