Jan Cilliers, a South African-born visual effects artist skilled in Discreet Flame and many other software tools, has joined the team at Click 3x. Cilliers most recently taught digital compositing at Escape Studios' School of Visual Effects in London. Previously, he spent eight months with the New York visual effects house Guava, where he worked on SINATRA: HIS VOICE. HIS WORLD. HIS WAY, a unique theatrical presentation that appeared at Radio City Music Hall last year.
Award-winning animation writer Paul Dini has departed Warner Bros. Animation after 15 years of writing hit animated TV series, including the BATMAN BEYOND, DUCK DODGERS, JUSTICE LEAGUE, TINY TOON ADVENTURES and SUPERMAN: THE ANIMATED SERIES. Dini made the announcement on his Deanspeak Website May 25, 2004.

Continuing its recent growth, Steele VFX has appointed Monique Eissing to the post of Henry artist. Eissing, who has been with the visual effects and finishing studio since 2001, previously served as Mac artist and assistant Henry artist.

Animator Emily Hubley has been selected by the Sundance Institute as one of the five filmmakers of the first "class" of Annenberg Film Fellows. As the first participants in the newly established Annenberg Film Fellows Program, the filmmakers will receive extended support over a two-year period to facilitate the creation of their current projects. The other fellows include Aditya Assarat, Sterlin Harjo, Kazuo Ohno and Alex Rivera.

Longtime senior television exec Ed Wilson, who recently left his position as president of NBC Enterprises, has joined the FOX Broadcasting Co. as president of the FOX Television Network. Wilson will be responsible for supervising all affiliate relations, advertising sales, legal, broadcast standards and Fox Ent. Group (FEG) integrated marketing operations for the network. He will also work closely with FEG on business development opportunities for the network.

John Partilla has been named president of Time Warner's Global Marketing group, effective June 14, 2004, and will hold the additional title of svp at Time Warner. Partilla succeeds Michael J. Kelly, who moved in January 2004 to Time Warner's America Online, Inc. unit as president, AOL Media Networks.
Kevin Reilly has been named president of NBC Entertainment, effective May 27, 2004. He succeeds Jeff Zucker, president, NBC Ent., News and Cable Group, and continues to report Zucker, who is relocating to New York.
Reilly's entertainment responsibilities will include primetime, late night and daytime programming and development as well as scheduling and strategic planning for the network.
Disney Channel has hired David Levine as exec director, program planning, and Penelope Jewkes as director of program planning, both based at the networks Burbank, California headquarters.
Levine will oversee the development and implementation of programming strategies for Disney Channel as well as for ABC Familys Jetix block. Jewkes will be responsible for the programming strategies related to Playhouse Disney, Disney Channels preschool programming block.
