The City of Ottawa is considering a complete budgetary cut to festivals and the arts.  Please help us fight this short-sighted decision!

Suggested message for residents of Ottawa:

Festivals and the arts are crucial to maintaining the quality of life in Ottawa and they bring in millions of dollars to the local economy. If the proposed cuts to festivals and the arts go through, many festivals will be forced to shut-down and many others will have to cut back programming.   Don't turn Ottawa into a ghost town by cutting culture.  As a taxpayer, I'm willing to make an investment in culture.

Suggested message for non-residents:

I have attended a Festival in Ottawa.  While in Ottawa I stayed in a local hotel, ate at restaurants, went shopping and visited local attractions.  If the City of Ottawa's proposed tax cuts go through, many Ottawa festivals will be forced to shut down and many others will have to cut back programming.  Why would the City of Ottawa want to damage Ottawa's culture when it attracts so many tourists like myself.  Please do not go through with these cuts.
