Fred Crippen's place in animation lore is secure as the creator of the Cold War superhero sendup "Roger Ramjet", but that is just one highlight of an amazing career that stretches from UPA (United Productions of America) in the early-Fifties all the way through the films he produces today at his own studio Pantomime Pictures.
Crippen's work combines a sophisticated sense of design and humor with a spare style of animation that together form a wholly unique and personal cartoon vision. This tribute will look at animation produced over the course of Crippen's 50-year animation career and will include rare TV commercials and series, industrial projects and personal films.
