Madame Souza and her dog Bruno attempt to rescue her grandson, cyclist Champion, when he is kidnapped by the French mafia during the Tour de France. Clues lead the old lady and her dog to Belleville where they encounter the renowned "Triplets of Belleville," three eccentric female music hall stars from the '30s. When Madame Souza discovers the godfather himself is holding Champion, the four old ladies and the dog soon figure out Champion's whereabouts and plot to defeat the French mafia.
