In a house on a hill under a looming storm cloud, family life unfolds at breakneck pace.
The crises, joys and random accidents of the day-to-day happen in a shattering blur. But
amid the constant change, certain instants unspool slowly. Time flies yet our memories are
elastic, stretching moments, compressing years. Seeds explode into plants in a split-second
burst. One minute a daughter's blowing out six candles on a birthday cake, and in the blink
of an eye she's moving out.
With deft dark humour, Chris Hinton plays with the speed of life. Like life itself, Flux is
packed with more than you can absorb the first time through. Vivid as a Miro painting, Flux
reverberates with the twang of a plucked string.
