CLOUDY WITH A CHANCE OF MEATBALLS, also from Sony, dropped to second in its third week and brought in $15.8 million over the weekend. Buena Vista's TOY STORY & TOY STORY 2 re-release in 3-D came in at #3, earning $12.5 million during its first week.

SURROGATES dropped to fourth in its second week, earning $7.2 million. WB's THE INVENTION OF LYING came in a disappointing fifth for its debut, earning $7 million. WHIP IT from Fox came in at #6, earning just $4.6 million in its debut.

At #7, FAME from MGM, earned $4.6 million in its second week. CAPITALISM: A LOVE STORY from Overture came in eighth, earning $4.4 million. LOVE HAPPENS from Universal rounded out the top ten, earning $2.7 million.
