Zinney Joins Click 3x

Zack Kinney, a motion graphics designer and animator, has joined Click 3x. Kinney will undertake broadcast design and commercial projects, as well as work for other media. In his first project for Click 3x, he designed a graphic opener for the recent 2004 ONE SHOW INTERACTIVE awards show. In an earlier freelance assignment for Click 3x, he served as art director on a promo for MTVs PIMP MY RIDE.

Kinney has pursued a freelance career for the past five years, working through many of New Yorks top design studios, including Click 3x. His credits spanned broadcast design, commercials, film titles, interactive media and print work. He has also worked through Eyeball NYC, Pittard Sullivan, Psyop, R!OT and Trollback. His credits include broadcast work for A&E, VH-1, AMC, Discovery, Lifetime, MTV and TNT, as well as commercials for Coke/Nascar, Compaq, Lipton, Volvo and McDonalds.

A graduate of Rhode Island School of Design, Kinney began his career with R/Greenberg Associates, New York. In his four years there, he handled print, broadcast and commercial work. He also was involved in numerous interactive design projects, including Websites, kiosks and CD-ROMs.

Click 3x partner and national head of sales and marketing Phil McIntyre worked with Kinney at R/GA and said that the diversity of his skills and experience make him a good fit for the studio. Zack is a very resourceful artist and is eager to take on any challenge, McIntyre said. As a freelancer, he became used to tight deadlines and tough creative demands. He is a good collaborator.

Kinney said that he chose to leave the freelance ranks to have the opportunity to become involved in projects during the conceptual phase. I want to become more deeply involved in my projects and Click offered me an opportunity to do just that, he said. I have a lot of respect for the quality of Clicks work and for the creative atmosphere of the studio. It is the right place at the right time.

Click 3x (www.click3x.com) provides visual effects, computer animation and broadcast design services to the advertising and television industries. The studio is located at 16 West 22nd Street, New York, NY 10010.
