Universal Pictures is planning an adaptation of Dark Horse's mini-series comic FORT: PROPHET OF THE UNEXPLAINED into a feature film, reports Heat Vision. Titled CHARLES FORT, the production will be produced by Robert Zemeckis and written by Evan Spiliotopoulos (SNOW WHITE AND THE HUNTSMAN). The project will be the first made through the new Imagemovers.

The real-life, early 20th century writer Charles Fort was a skeptic that tried to uncover scientific proof to supernatural events such as levitation, teleportation and alien abduction. The comic makes the writer as an investigator who faces off with aliens and killers.

Dark Horse's Mike Richardson and Imagemovers partners Jack Rapke and Steve Starkey are also producing alongside exec producer Keith Goldberg. Scott Bernstein is shepherding for Universal.
